2021 Sagrantino, Limited Edition Magnum

There were only six magnums produced with the 2021 Sagrantino, Poggio Leano. This Limited Edition bottle was dedicated to the twenty fifth anniversary of the opening of Alessandro Prestifilippo's first restaurant, Gourmet Italia. Gourmet Italia celebrated 25 years on October 16, 2024. Gourmet Italia and Poggio Leano are immensely grateful for the support of their customers and wine club members throughout the last 25 years. Salute to 25 more years.

Sagrantino is a very rare, bold, Italian grape. This red wine that is said to have the highest number of antioxidants of any red wine. It has scented raspberry and black cherry aromas, firm black fruit flavors, plentiful tannins and some spice and herb notes evident in the finish.
